How to Install WordPress

We will discuss how to install Word Press to your hosting account. Other than your own hosting account you’ll need a domain name to install Word Press publishing software. Hosting account and the domain name are the per-requisite to install Word Press. You also need to connect your domain name server to your hosting account. If you have already done so, we can proceed with the Word Press installation process.

There are two methods to install Word Press website publishing software. The first method is to download the latest version of the software from the official site of Word Press. Log in to WordPress.org site and download the software to your computer. If it comes in the zip format unzip the file using Win Zip or Win Rar program.

You have the latest version Word Press files in your computer. You have to upload all the files to your domain in your server. Open control panel and index of your domain in FTP to upload all Word Press files. Click to up-load all files. If everything is alright, your Word Press will be uploaded. You can up load the files from the control panel without using FTP. You have to upload one file at a time. This will need a long time to upload all the files to your hosting account.

There is another process to install Word Press into your hosting account. Most of the c-panel based hosting companies provide an easy installation software Word Press called ‘Fantastico Delux’. It should be right at your main control panel page. There should be an icon (laughing baby face) and ‘Fantastico Delux’ written under it.

Clicking on the icon will take you to a page where there are many publishing platforms, including Word Press. Click on the Word Press and then “New Installation.” An installation form will appear before you. You have to select your right domain name from a drop menu and have to fill up the name, password, etc. Click on ‘Install Word Press” at the bottom when you are done filling the form. Clicking on “Finish Installation” will complete the installation process. Your new installed Word Press admin panel url will be shown to you. You can reach your admin panel by clicking this url.
